Happy Holidays
I hope you have a great week, whether you celebrate or not. I am hoping for a snowstorm, but I haven’t heard any chatter among the local meteorologists.

The winning pen name for me is… drum roll, please… James DeFeo. Thanks to all who participated in the poll.
Puppet Progress
This past week, I reconstructed the mouth plates for the puppet, made two foam heads, and glued them all together. At this point, all the foam work is complete. Next, I will make a sleeve that goes inside the foam body and will be attached to the head. This will be where my arm goes. I’m not sure why having an internal sleeve is necessary. It could be a way of keeping the heat of your arm from the foam because heat will make the glue come undone. That is the theory I am going with. The sleeve will be made with a spandex material and will require sewing. I’m scared. After that, I will probably be covering the body in fleece. Here is the photo of the heads.
Short Film
A second draft of the mysterious short film project I have discussed in this newsletter has been completed. Next week, I will work with my writing partner on the final touches. I’ll give you a one-word hint about its contents: FAUST.
Short Story
Next week, I will post the short story THE FALL AND RISE OF JUDAS BLACK. I am giving myself a deadline to force me to complete the project and not procrastinate. It will be posted on this website. I hope you enjoy it. Once that is up, I will continue revising my next short story, THE GHOULS OF DR. FORBES.
Thrift Store Find
It was not a thrift store find by me, but by a friend. My friend Dom surprised me yesterday by gifting me the 1977 Star Wars Soundtrack on vinyl. I have been looking for this for some time now. It isn’t an easy soundtrack to find on vinyl. If it is in a store, it will be picked up quickly. You have to be lucky. You could say, “James, you can buy it on Discogs or eBay.” True. But I crave the hunt. That’s part of the fun. Although I didn’t hunt this particular vinyl down, it was a much-appreciated surprise. I am very grateful for the friends I have in my life.
